"Barbershop Quintet II"

Sitting inside a chicken coup, with one hand under the telephoto lens and the other hand ready to snap various poses, I captured several head shots from these colorful roosters and hens to use as reference material to paint back at the studio. The proud chosen ones were two Polish hens, a Polish rooster, a White Leghorn rooster, and a Rhode Island Red rooster. Would you ever see these grouped together like this? Absolutely not! Creating this whimsical composition, however, makes them appear harmonious like they are singing together in a Barbershop Quintet.
