" La Maison de Remy' "
Original Watercolor
Framed size: 26" x 55"
A morning light is cast upon this scene of an old Acadian style house near Thibodaux, LA. Cajuns, slang for Acadians, are the French-speaking people who migrated to South Louisiana from Nova Scotia in the eighteenth century. Cajuns were happily removed from city life preferring a rustic life along the bayous. In this case, this scene was painted along Bayou Lafourche.
