The Jose' Gasparilla is a 165 foot pirate ship built in 1954 for the annual Gasparilla celebration in Tampa, FL. The ship sails across Tampa Bay to downtown Tampa every year, accompanied by hundreds of smaller boats and yachts. The ship is named after Jose' Gaspar, a pirate who terrorized the coastal waters of West Florida during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
